About the event

Throughout time, God has used music as a powerful tool to commemorate significant events, people, and places. Join us to walk through the steps of processing your faith journey through music and create your own life soundtrack. By the end, you'll have a musical representation of your story that you can listen to as a record of God’s faithfulness and share with others. Everyone is welcome - no musical skills are needed!

Part 1 - Thursday, May 9

This interactive workshop series will start by exploring examples of the way God used music throughout Scripture so you can recognize and apply them to your own life. Then you'll be guided through the process of remembering significant people, places, and events in your story and brainstorming songs to represent those different parts of your journey. Lastly, you'll begin to compile a playlist of songs to be included on your life soundtrack.

Part 2 - Thursday, May 23

The second part of the workshop series will be focused on finalizing your playlist and then going through a guided process for brainstorming a title and creating cover artwork that represents your life story. You'll also learn how to engage with individual songs on your playlist to seek deeper processing of the parts of your faith journey where the Lord may need to bring clarity or healing. To end, you'll have the chance to create an actual playlist using your favorite music app so you can listen to your soundtrack and share it with family and friends.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please bring earbuds or headphones to use with your phone's music app during the workshop.
